Metro Wound Care is owned and operated by Shelley McIvor, an endorsed nurse practitioner.
With over 30 years experience, Shelley has treated wounds in a range of clinical settings - including wounds from post-acute, chronic and complex backgrounds.
Metro Wound Care maintains strong relationships with industry professionals, while achieving desired results for patients.
Initially trained in Otago, New Zealand - Shelley migrated to Australia in 1986 and has worked in the public and private sectors. Post-graduate studies were completed in wound managment at Monash University, diabetes education at Curtin University, and Masters of Nursing: Nurse Practitioner at La Trobe University.
Shelley is committed to educating, mentoring and supporting other health professionals who care for patients with wounds while maintaining her own continuous professional development.
Her passion for the community and dedication to her patients has led to a respected industry reputation - along with enduring connections to both referrers and the people she cares for.
